Vascular Lesions on the Face

Vascular Lesions on the Face
It is very common for small spider veins to appear on the face in the cheeks, chin and nose. These veins are typically red in color, although they can be blue as well. Although there are a number of factors that could cause them, they are most commonly associated with overexposure to the sun.

Treatments are minimal and uncomplicated. Whether treatment comes from a laser, intense pulse light, or ohmic thermolysis, heat therapy corrects these veins in typically one to three sessions. Mild redness or dry skin may occur, but this is extremely short and minimal. To avoid vascular lesions on the face, sunscreen should be applied at all times, even in the summer.
