Charles W. Thomas, MD
Dr. Thomas was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his medical education at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. Dr. Thomas went on to do his residency in general surgery in New Orleans and became board certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1999.
After completing his residency he began working as a general surgeon and has been working with Dr. Divincenti at Southern Surgical Specialists since 2000.
Dr. Thomas is currently a member in good standing with the American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, American Board of Surgery, and the Louisiana State Medical Society. He has hospital affiliations with West Jefferson Medical Center and Meadowcrest Hospital. He is a certified proctor for the DaVinci Robotic System and practices at West Jefferson Medical Center.
Robert D. Cummiskey, MD
Dr. Cummiskey was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his medical education at Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He went on to do his general surgery residency in New Orleans where he was appointed Chief resident for his final year. Dr. Cummiskey became board certified by the American Board of Surgery in 2000.
After completing his residency he joined a private practice as a general surgeon and later joined Southern Surgical Specialists in 2006. Dr. Cummiskey is a member in good standing with the American College of Surgeons, American Board of Surgery, and the Louisiana State Medical Society. He is a certified proctor for the daVinci robotic system and is the father of one daughter.
